WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are individual strands of mink or synthetic fibers made to resemble a natural lash. One false lash is applied to one natural lash. With proper application, lashes look and feel completely natural.
LATE/TARDY POLICY
We always try our best to accommodate anyone stuck in traffic or running a bit behind. We totally get things happen! However, delayed appointments can effect a technicians entire day and we like to keep everyone's appointment on time.
Because of this, we do offer a 10 minute grace period but late beyond that will require a late fee which varies with provider, or result in rescheduling (check our policy or rescheduling less than 24 hours). We pride ourself in customer satisfaction and just want to make sure we are giving 100% at all times with each and every client.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPLY LASH EXTENSIONS?
Lash extensions can take anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours depending on the service you are receiving. You will discuss with your lash provider prior to your appointment the approximate time your appointment should take.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand things come up so we just ask for cancellations/reschedules to please contact us at least 24 hours in advanced to avoid being charged 25% of your service. No call no-shows will result in being charged 100% for your appointment. Unpredictable circumstances are inevitable therefore we will not charge in the case of family or medical emergencies, but please contact your service provider directly.
IS IT OKAY TO WEAR MASCARA?
Our lash sets are designed to give you a full, fluffy look so mascara is not needed. However, if you desire a darker look it is okay to apply mascara with a very light hand. Using mascara at the base of the extensions can get very clumpy so you want to be sure you are cleaning them properly.
HOW LONG WILL MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
Because each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will fall out naturally along with the natural growth cycle of each lash. We recommend a touch up every 2 - 3 weeks.
WILL YOUR NATURAL LASHES GET HARMED OR DAMAGED?
This is one of the biggest myths if done correctly. When lashes are applied properly by a professional, they are safe and will not ruin the health of your natural lash. Be sure not to rub or tug on your lashes because this can cause lash loss.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FILL?
It is required to have a least 40% of your lash extensions for it to be considered a fill. Please keep in mind if there is too much retention it will be necessary for removal and replacement therefore we suggest a fill every 2-3 weeks to avoid being charged for a full set.
CAN I GET A FILL OVER ANOTHER ARTIST'S WORK?
It is the artist's discretion if they would like to fill over other work, however this is very possible at Lashed Buffalo. We suggest speaking to your provider before your appointment in order to be aware of any first-time fill fees that may apply.
CAN GLUE GET IN MY EYE?
Since your eyes are closed the entire time, you can not get glue in your eyes. It is best to refrain from texting, sudden hand movements, chewing gum/eating, and anything else that requires open eyes or sudden movement in order to obtain the best and most comfortable results.
CAN I GET MY LASH EXTENSIONS WET?
We recommend keeping your eyelashes completely dry for the first 24-48 hours from the time of your scheduled appointment. After this, your lashes will be 100% waterproof within reason (bathing, swim, etc).
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LASH EXTENSIONS?
Avoid getting wet for 24-48 hours after your appointment
Although they are waterproof, we do recommend avoiding hot steam or saunas for best retention
Oil free makeup remover to remove makeup
Brush with clean mascara wand daily
CAN I CHOOSE THE LOOK I WANT?
Prior to your appointment, your technician will consult with you to understand what style you are looking for and best fits you. Styles can range from a very natural to a dramatic, voluminous look!
ARE LASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?
Lashes do not come in contact with the skin so they are not regulated by the FDA. However, lashes are placed about 1mm away from the skin so you should never feel any pain or discomfort. Most of our clients say its relaxing enough to get a lash nap in!
